PRODUT DETAILS

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Tests per Box: 10

  • Catalog Number: MG-CA-R033

INTENDED USE

The Feline FPV/FHV/FCV Ab test is a quantitative assay used with an Immunofluorescence Analyzer to measure antibodies for feline panleukopenia virus (FPV), feline herpesvirus (FHV), and feline calicivirus (FCV) in serum or plasma.

TEST PRINCIPLE

This test uses a double antigen sandwich fluorescence method. The intensity of the fluorescent signal indicates the concentration of antibodies, expressed as Tu/ml.

MATERIALS

Provided:

  • 10 sealed pouches with test devices for FPV-Ab, FHV-Ab, and FCV-Ab

  • Desiccant pouch

  • 1 ID Chip

  • Instructions for Use

  • 10 tubes of FPV/FHV/FCV Ab Sample Buffer

  • 10 pipette tips

Required But Not Provided:

  • Immunofluorescence Analyzer

  • Timer

  • Pipette (already provided)

  • Centrifuge (typically not needed)

STORAGE AND STABILITY

  • Store at 4-30°C until the expiration date.

  • Perform tests at 18-28°C after opening.

  • Use the test within 30 minutes of opening the pouch.

SPECIMEN COLLECTION AND PREPARATION

  • Use serum or plasma (EDTA recommended).

  • Separate serum or plasma within 3 hours of collection. Use only clear, non-hemolyzed specimens.

  • Store specimens at 2-8°C for up to 72 hours or below -20°C for long-term storage.

TEST PROCEDURE

Preparation:

  • Place a Test Device on a flat surface.

  • Insert the ID Chip into the meter and ensure the Test Device lot number matches.

Sample Preparation:

  • Mix 20 μl of sample with FPV/FHV/FCV Ab Sample Buffer.

Run the Test:

  • Standard Test:

    • Pipette 100 μl of mixed sample into the test device.

    • Select "Standard Test" on the meter, insert the device, and click "Start Test." Repeat for each test device.

  • Quick Test:

    • Pipette 100 μl of mixed sample into the test device.

    • Select "Quick Test," start the timer, and let the device sit for 10 minutes. Insert it into the meter and click "Start Test." Repeat for each test device.

RESULTS

  • Results appear on the screen. Print results if needed.

QUALITY CONTROL

  • The test includes an internal quality control. If it fails, an error message will appear, and you'll need to use a new Test Device and sample.

INTERPRETATION

  • FPV-Ab: 4.5–640 Tu/ml

  • FHV-Ab: 5.0–640 Tu/ml

  • FCV-Ab: 5.0–640 Tu/ml

Refer to the results table for interpretation based on antibody levels.

WARNINGS AND LIMITATIONS

  • For in vitro diagnostic use only.

  • Do not use if packaging is damaged.

  • Use one pipette tip per specimen.

  • Results may be affected by technical errors or substances in the blood not listed.

Each lab should establish its own reference ranges.
